A spectacular 4-5 hour hike along Snowdonia Slate Trail from Betws-y-Coed, 9.7km (5.9 miles)About this Event
The route follow the River Llugwy towards Swallow Falls then continues to the Ugly House / Ty Hyll.
The trail continues up a short steep lane from there back onto forest tracks before the path emerges onto open ground.

As the path approaches Capel Curig, the landscape opens to reveal impressive views across some of Eryri’s best-known peaks, including:
- Moel Siabod
- Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
- The Glyderau
- The Carneddau

Start: 10.00 from the Waterloo Hotel, Betws Y Coed
Equipment: Comfortable footwear suitable for potentially wet, footpaths and tracks. Waterproofs and warm layers of clothing, snacks or a packed lunch & drink.
Experience required: Good general fitness
Return Journey
A bus service runs from Capel Curig back to Betws-y-Coed every two hours. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes, with departures from Capel Curig at 12:44, 14:44 and 16:44.
